HES Students Win Mizzou 39 and Mizzou 18 Awards!

Mizzou 39In the spirit of service that was the cornerstone of the 1839 founding of the University of Missouri, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou '39 Award to 39 outstanding seniors each year. Chosen for their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community, the honorees represent a variety of majors, activities and organizations from across campus. Each winner also chooses a faculty or staff member to recognize as their adviser throughout their college career.

Activities/Honors: Sweet Tea Cosmetics, LLC. - Owner/Chief Executive Officer, University of Missouri Systems Entrepreneurship Quest - EQ Scholar, Published in the Columbia Missourian, VOX Magazine, The MANEATER, and KBIA in Columbia, MO, University of Missouri Student Unions and U.S. Bank Entrepreneurial Scholarship Recipient and Grant Awardee, and made the 2017-2018 Dean’s List for the academic year.

Mizzou 18In the spirit of service, first modeled by the University's founding families in 1839, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou 18 Award. This award is dedicated to honoring 18 University of Missouri graduate and professional students in the last year of their degree eligibility.

Chosen for their world-class research, collaboration with faculty and staff, and their demonstrated leadership with undergraduate students, the honorees represent a variety of majors, activities and organizations from across campus. Each recipient also chooses a faculty or staff member to be recognized for the impact they have made in the lives of MU students.

Christina Wang is the daughter of Dr. Xinghe Henry Wang and Dr. Daqing Ann Chen.


Rebecca Mott

Rebecca Mott (recently promoted to Assistant Extension Professor of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology) was also a Mizzou 18 awardee. Becky is earning her PhD in Agricultural Education & Leadership, but much of her work for University Extension is in the HES Nutrition & Health Program. Among other work, she directs a college and career exploration program for middle school students called Camp CaPow for the Family Impact Center in HES Extension. Becky is the wife of Jason Mott and mother of Andy and Aaron!
