Eleanor Blumenthal Graduate Fellowship
Awarded to graduate students in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. Preference shall be given to students preparing for careers in aiding children who have suffered major trauma in their lives.
Elizabeth Vemer Memorial Minority Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a graduate or undergraduate minority student in Human Development and Family Science.
Human Development and Family Science Student Development
Provides for the Marilyn Coleman Outstanding Human Development and Family Science Graduate Student Scholarship. Also provides for the Virginia L. Fisher “Gumption” Award to the senior in Human Development and Family Science who best exemplifies “gumption” during his/her academic career.
Lawrence H. Ganong Graduate Fellowship
Awarded to a graduate student in Human Development and Family Science who is studying family diversity. The student’s career goals should include a commitment to conducting research and/or helping diverse families via education, consultation, and other preventive approaches. Although American families vary in many ways, preference is given to students interested in family structure diversity (e.g. stepfamilies, single-parent families) or families of color.
Lois Bryant Memorial Endowment
This award is for a minority graduate or undergraduate student majoring in Human Development and Family Science who has demonstrated concern for improving society.
Marilyn Coleman Alumni Graduate Scholarship
One or more annual scholarship awards and/or graduate assistantships shall be given to graduate students enrolled in the Department of Human Development and Family Science.
Marilyn Coleman Doctoral Fellowship in Human Development and Family Science
This fund will provide one or more annual fellowship awards to doctoral students in the Department of Human Development and Family Science in the College of HES who wish to concentrate on the study of families, specifically those interested in studying divorce and remarriage. The fund will also be used in the recruitment of doctoral students to study in the above-referenced area.
Ruth Cook Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a student in Human Development and Family Science.
