Sandy RikoonHES Dean Sandy Rikoon Gives Expert Testimony

Sandy Rikoon was invited to give expert testimony on February 26 to the Missouri House of Representatives Committee on Urban Affairs. His testimony concerned House Bill No. 2100, introduced by Rep. Tommie Pierson, Jr. (MO-66), to establish tax credits for establishing a full-service supermarket or grocery store in a food desert in Missouri. Nearly 25% of Missourians live in a food desert, as defined by the United States Department of Agriculture. His testimony focused on levels of food insecurity, health vulnerabilities, and food affordability in these areas.
