Not everyone has access to the color printing option. If you do, then you can force the Xerox to print in color or force it to black and white as a default to keep from accidentally printing documents in color, which is more expensive.
Windows Start button (lower left corner) Devices and Printers menu item (on right side) Right Click on the OFS Xerox printer icon » From the pop-up menu select printer preferences.
Check the Xerox Black and White Conversion check-box (picture below) if you have color access but want to avoid printing in color by default.
Everyone is given a user-name and a 4 digit numeric pin number for the Xerox. You only need your user-name when printing from your computer. To set or change your user-name (essentially your billing code) follow these steps.
Windows Start button (lower left corner) Devices and Printers menu item (on right side) Right Click on the OFS Xerox printer icon From the pop-up menu select printer properties Configuration tab Accounting codes Setup button (picture below).
In the window that pops up (below) enter your Xerox user-name (NOT your 4 digit pin number) in the User ID field. Leave the Account ID field blank and leave the Account Type set to Default Group Account (picture below). You don’t use your pin number when printing from a computer. You only use your pin number when you are at the Xerox machine to make copies, etc.
Windows Start button (lower left corner) Devices and Printers menu item (on right side) Right Click on the OFS Xerox printer icon From the pop-up menu select printer preferences
In the window that pops up, under the Printing Options tab change the Job Type from Normal Print to Secure Print.
When the window below pops up enter your 4 digit PIN number (NOT your user-name) where it says Pass code (below).
