Welcome Letter from the President
Greetings Human Environmental Sciences Alumni! I am honored to be serving as the HES Alumni Board President. I want to extend an open-ended invitation to all HES Alumni to visit our beautiful campus. If it’s been a while since you’ve been back, I promise you will be so impressed by what you see and who you meet. Gwynn Hall is spectacular following a long-overdue renovation; and many other spaces throughout our buildings have received some TLC. Our faculty continue to be recognized around the country and the world for their scholarly accomplishments and in the classroom. And, most importantly, our students are impressive and inspiring.
The past year has been a challenging one for Mizzou. However, I assure you that HES remains strong in terms of enrollment, student leadership, faculty recognitions, grant funding and so much more. The College of Human Environmental Sciences at Mizzou is thriving! Please be sure to stay up-to-date, connected and engaged with HES by following us on Facebook (Mizzou College of Human Environmental Sciences) and Twitter (MU College of HES ). The HES website (College of HES ) is also filled with news stories and updates, as well as a link to our College’s annual magazine, Vanguard.
If there is ever anything I can do for you or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the Black & Gold,
Liz Townsend Bird, HES ’96
